Working in the Northern Hemisphere, Australia still feels like a whole other country. Will you spend Christmas on the beach? Toilets flutter backwards? Hanging out kangaroos in your backyard?

In fact, Australia is the sixth largest nation in the world by total area, and its immense scale means that its ecosystems are incredibly diverse. In the center of the country you can find deserts, rainforests in the northeast and mountain ranges in the southeast, not to mention the Great Barrier Reef off the northeast coast of the country.
